Crystal pipe opal from Australia is highly coveted and not easy to get your hands on. Mother Nature only created pipe opals in small localized areas, so it can take several years or decades before more of it is found in large quantities. This means that the supply of crystal pipe opals is extremely limited, yet demand for this beautiful stone continues to grow. I’ve slowly been collecting these opals and have watched the price skyrocket just in the last year. I’m so grateful to have been able to get my hands on one of these beauts to make this ring.
