Vintage Scalloped Engagement Ring
The Coraline ring is a vintage scalloped engagement ring from the Edwardian Era, circa 1910! The ring centers an old cut oval of approximately 0.55 carats, H-I color, VS2 clarity. The diamond is set in a 10-prong yellow gold setting. To each side is an old European cut diamond, both combining for approximately 0.10 carats. A scalloped gallery surrounds the diamonds, going into a millegrain-lined band. The ring is size 6 and can be resized!
Why We Love It
That center oval diamond is just dreamy with its old cut faceting! The scalloped gallery add vintage charm and the patina* enhances that effect!
*Patina is the oxidation of the metal which is the darkened and black spots that you see. This can easily be polished off for a shiny finish but it will take a few decades to come back!
